Module 1: Yogic Path and Peaceful living (Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics - 30 hours as required by Yoga Alliance)- A transformational journey of self-discovery - (This module is open to anyone interested in yoga philosophy and enriching their lives whether or not your are interested in becoming a yoga teacher and completing the full training)

Cost of individual Module 1 if not taking full teacher training: $500
(You made decide to take the full training later, this amount will be subtracted off your final tuition)

February 11, 2020 to February 29, 2020 (3 weeks)

Tuesdays 6:00pm-9pm and Saturdays 12pm-4pm

Module 2:: Technique Training and Practice - 100 hours, Teaching Methodology - 30 hours
- How to properly move through Surya Namaskara A and B. Learn the different styles and schools of thought on how to properly move through sun salutations A and B. Discussion
will focus on linking movement with breath.
- Asana, 5 categories of postures: standing postures, twists, forward bends, back bends, and inversions
- In depth study and practice of Vinyasa style of teaching, Yin and Restorative.
- Pranayama and meditation technique and practice.
- Finding your own unique style and identify your area of strengths that will enhance your classes. Learn to teach with confidence.

Module 3: Anatomy and Physiology - 20hours, Practicum - 20 hours
- Practice teaching in pairs and small groups.
- Design and teach your own 75 minutes Vinyasa class
- Design and teach your own 60 minute Yin/Restorative Yoga Class.
- Practice hands-on assists/adjustments in pairs and group class.
- Bringing Yoga to your community - provide a yoga class for the community, workplace or
school
- Basic human anatomy, skeletal system, muscular system, respiratory system, digestive system and lymphatic system as they relate to yoga asanas.
Functional anatomy, how the body moves through asana practice.
- The fundamentals of Bandhas, Chakras and energy systems of the body.

Pilates Reformer Training

A three weekend intensive Pilates Reformer teacher training program. Learn to teach Pilates Reformer to a group or private clients. The Pilates reformer allows you to take Pilates training to a new level. Topics covered include; injury prevention, modifications for pre and post-surgery/injury, athletic conditioning, sports specific training, aging population, pre and post-natal training, postural alignment, functional anatomy and assessment.
 

Prerequisite- none required, anyone interested in body anatomy and conditioning.
*However, if you completed the Breathe Pilates Matwork or Ashiatsu Yoga teacher training course, you do not have to do the first weekend training. Savings of $400 on the training (can take it optionally and for no additional charge)
 

Cost- $1600 (Manual included)
$1200 if you have already completed the Breathe Pilates Matwork Program or Ashiatsu Yoga teacher training

About your lead instructor- Dr. Son Nguyen


Dr. Son Nguyen completed the Stott Pilates Rehabilitation Reformer Pilates in 2005 and has been using the Reformer in her private practice to recover patients and athletes from injuries. Dr. Son is also the co-developer of the Breathe Pilates Matwork program and has been training Pilates teachers since 2009. She also is the developer of the Ashiatsu Yoga teacher training program. She has taught anatomy at Everest Massage Therapy School. Dr. Son is a chiropractor and acupuncturist. She extends this knowledge and expertise of the human body into this comprehensive Reformer training. Her program has anatomy and functional based training. This program may count towards Yoga Alliance Ceu credits as well as Massage Therapy Ceu credits

Ashiatsu Bar Massage Therapy Course

A prerequisite for this course is very good upper body strength. Balance, core stability and flexibility are key as well.


Therapists will learn how to properly deliver consistent Ashiatsu Massage to the posterior body using one footed strokes.
 

You must be a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) or Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in good standing with your governing body. You must be an experienced RMT/LMT working for at least 2 years before taking this course.


Health care practitioners such as PT's, Yoga Instructors, etc. can also register if they have above average knowledge in anatomy and physiology.

Seated Ashiatsu

This one day workshop teaches therapists how to properly use their feet to massage the upper posterior/anterior body. This is great for therapists who want to use their feet, taking pressure off their hands, but also not requiring an overhead bar system. All you need is a stool at the head of your table.


This course is open to RMTs/LMTs or health care practitioners that have knowledge of anatomy and physiology. It is beneficial for therapists to have balance, core strength and flexibility.
Cost: $200 + HST. $226 total

Hot Thai Stem Compress Course

Thai Stem Compress massage is detoxifying, exfoliating and invigorating. This modality combines the use of Thai Stems that have beneficial essential oils and herbs. They are heated in a steamer pot and used in conjunction with massage to the entire body. You will be shown how to use them to massage, how to care for them and most importantly how to make your own Thai Stems.
Cost: $320 + HST = $361.60 TOTAL

Deep Tissue Bamboo Therapy

During this two day class of Deep Tissue Bamboo Therapy you will learn the benefits, contraindications, proper equipment care and body mechanics. 


This class will be dedicated to applying the Deep Tissue Bamboo Therapy technique in a full body massage in a fashion that not only benefits your clients, but benefits you as a massage therapist.


As massage therapists our bodies are the most important part of our career. Deep Tissue Bamboo Therapy will allow you to deliver a deep tissue massage with proper body mechanics without hurting yourself as a therapist. These tools will take so much pressure off of your hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders and will allow you to seek the longevity in your body and career.


There are no prerequisites for this course. You must be a registered massage therapist (RMT) OR licensed massage therapist (LMT) in good standing with your governing body. If you are in any other health profession that has knowledge in anatomy and physiology, you may be selected for this course.


Cost: $400 +hst (bamboo tools not included)
